Hill Air Force Base and Weber State University have announced a new agreement aimed at increasing the educational opportunities for base personnel. The agreement, signed this week, allows WSU to offer certificate and associate-degree programs on the base. Initial offerings include several computer science courses to be taught by WSU faculty. Representatives for Hill AFB and WSU said they hope to build on the partnership and expand the number of programs offered.
More than 2,200 Workforce Services employees assist individuals in preparing for and finding jobs and helping Utah businesses meet workforce needs. Through a collaborative approach, the department has served millions of Utahns and has become a leader on several statewide employment initiatives. Workforce Development Specialists help employers with one-on-one support to meet workforce needs.
Weber State offers more than 225 certificate and degree programs and 16 graduate degrees. At Weber, 79% of students have jobs, 59% attend part-time. Multiple locations and online, evening and distance learning courses help students balance their commitments.

All University of Utah alumni interested in entrepreneurship are welcome to participate in the Lassonde for Life program. It offers alumni with lifelong support for their entrepreneurial pursuits and dreams by providing resources and support from the top-10 ranked Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. Alumni can participate free of charge and from anywhere on the globe to explore entrepreneurship, get help starting a company, grow a company, attend events, make connections, find mentors, and more. The program is provided in partnership between the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, PIVOT Center, and the university’s Office of Alumni Relations.
Davis Technical College is a public technical college in Kaysville, Utah. It provides competency-based education in an open-entry, open-exit environment which prepares over 6,000 high school and adult students with career and technical skills.
