In today’s fast-paced world, virtual online job fairs are a valuable resource for job seekers looking to connect with potential employers.
Participating in these events is highly beneficial:
- Convenience: Virtual job fairs eliminate the need for travel, allowing job seekers to participate from anywhere with an internet connection.
- Expanded Networking Opportunities: A wide range of companies and industries. Participants can interact with recruiters, hiring managers, and industry professionals, expanding their network and gaining insights into potential career paths.
- Real-time Interaction: Job seekers can directly engage with employers through chat rooms or video calls, making the process more interactive and personalized.
- Wider Pool of Jobs: Virtual job fairs bring together organizations from different locations, allowing job seekers to explore positions they might not have otherwise encountered.
- Time and Cost Efficiency: Traditional job fairs can be time-consuming and costly due to travel, accommodation, and other expenses. Virtual job fairs eliminate these barriers.
To register: Visit jobs.utah.gov and create an account or sign in to ‘My Job Search’. Once you are signed in, find the virtual job fair or prep workshop on your dashboard, and select the event. A job fair prep workshop is available the day before from 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
