GOED Provides Small Businesses Assistance During COVID-19 Pandemic

Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) recently published a website to assist small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The website offers several useful resources, including a tool that helps businesses determine the best federal, state, and local resources that meet their specific needs.

The state also offers its COVID-19 Commercial Rental Assistance Program. As part of S.B. 3006, this new program includes $30 million in commercial property rental assistance.

The website offers links to additional information with explanation regarding current grant opportunities and loans that help financially struggling businesses. The link also includes the COVID 19 Business Manual which is a step-by-step plan from the Utah Department of Health to protect business and prevent the spread of COVID-19. It is important to look at how your business operates and create a plan to make your worksite healthier for both your staff and your client. You can use this guidance throughout the pandemic, no matter what color of the Utah Color-Coded Health Guidance your community is in.

The new GOED website is a one-shop-stop for a Utah business’s response to COVID-19. It provides the most up-to-date information and resources for protecting workplace health and what to do if an employee, customer or visitor tests positive for COVID-19.
