Hill Air Force Base Compatible Use Plan Virtual Public Open House

YOU ARE INVITED to attend a Virtual Public Open House and participate in the Compatible Use Plan process.

Please take time to participate in this important event, take a community survey, and learn about Hill AFB and its operations.

The Virtual Open House will be available from October 22, 2020 until November 5, 2020 and may be accessed at your convenience.

On October 20, 2020 Matrix Design Group introduced the Compatible Use Plan process in a public meeting for the purpose of obtaining comments from anyone willing to participate in this process. You may view the Virtual Public Meeting in its entirety within the Virtual Public Open House forum.

This Plan process has been taking place for about 2 years as part of the federal grant procedure and has included eleven (11) municipalities and three (3) counties (elected officials, Administration, and Planning Staff), Federal and State Senators, Representatives, and Legislators, Hill Air Force Base representatives, Utah Defense Alliance who has been very supportive, many state, regional or local leaders, agencies or groups such as Wasatch Front Regional Council, various utility companies, UDOT, UTA and similar, local employers and property owners.

The Compatible Use Plan is a Community led, federally funded process, and the PURPOSE of a COMPATIBLE USE PLAN (CUP) is to:

  • Promote compatible development patterns near military installations.
  • Identify existing and potential threats and encroachment sources, including new development, transportation, infrastructure services, operations and environmental constraints.
  • Include mitigation measures and recommended implementation strategies for both sides of the Base to address any threats and concerns affecting future Base operations.
