Layton City Announces First Small Business Seminar for 2022

Layton City’s Economic Development department is pleased to announce the first Small Business Seminar event for 2022. “What’s Working/Not Working in Social Media Marketing” will be presented by Trish Thomason from Social Buzzerfly. Thomason started her Layton marketing firm in May, 2016 and has since created and managed dozens of social media pages. She has successfully grown social media pages through creative content creation, SEO training, and active community involvement. She invests the time required to get to know a business before promoting via social media marketing channels. The firm also specializes in helping posts sound personal while generating engagement among targeted audiences.

Social Buzzerfly markets on several platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  The marketing firm has trained hundreds of businesses how to be competitive in social media. Social Buzzerfly focuses on the client and uses out-of-the-box strategies to reach more potential customers for clients.  Thomason emphasizes that they take on a select number of clients so a business doesn’t become just another number. Posts are not delegated to an inexperienced intern, or random employee that doesn’t have a vested interest in the customer’s success.

Layton City’s Small Business Seminars offer the free opportunity for local business leaders to spend a lunchbreak learning how to make their business more successful. Past classes have provided effective training on a wide array of business-related topics by local business owners and experts. Classes have included tax strategies, marketing, employee recruiting and retention and more.
