Layton City Announces May 25 Small Business Seminar

“Business Tax Strategies” is the topic of Layton City’s next Small Business Seminar, set for May 25, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The city’s Community and Economic Development department continues its popular and free business education series by featuring Ron Valentine with Valentine CPA. Tax strategies are one of the most overlooked ways in which small businesses could be saving money. The class will offer scenarios that illustrate how small businesses can save substantial dollars with the right tax planning.

Valentine has operated Valentine CPA for over 30 years. He has consulted with scores of small businesses and currently helps them remain compliant with laws and regulations while enjoying maximum tax relief. His firm specializes in proven solutions for any challenges that small and medium-sized businesses will face during their start-up to growth lifecycle.

In September of 2021, Valentine CPA achieved the Inc. 5000 list — the 5000 fastest growing companies in the US. The magazine ranked Valentine CPA number 2,327. The Inc. 5000 is an annual list of the fastest growing companies in the United States. The ranking is determined by the percentage of growth from the prior year.

The city’s Small Business Seminars offer the opportunity for local business leaders to spend a lunchbreak learning how to make their business more successful. The class will be held in-person at the offices of Valentine CPA, 944 E Gordon Avenue, Layton, Utah, and features a free lunch, courtesy of Layton’s First Community Bank.

Past classes provide networking opportunities and effective training on a wide array of business-related topics by local business owners and experts. Topics have included: social medial marketing, small business accounting, search engine marketing, creating successful business plans, and more.
