Layton City Resumes Small Business Seminars

Layton City’s Community and Economic Development department will resume its popular and educational Small Business Seminars in 2021. The seminars offer the opportunity for local business leaders to spend a lunchbreak learning how to make their business more successful.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, classes were held in-person with a free lunch. The city plans to return to that form hopefully later this year. In the meantime, the seminar will be held via Zoom. The next class is planned for February 10, 2021 from noon until 1:00 pm.

The topic will be “Effective Social Media Marketing,” led by a panel of local experts including the following:

Past classes have provided effective training on a wide array of business-related topics by local business owners and experts. These classes have included: Small Business Concerns and Tax Strategies, Online Marketing: How to rank your business on Page One of Google, and Business Marketing 101: How to Stand out in a Competitive Market.

Layton City also works in conjunction with Andrew Willis, director with the local Small Business Development Center in Kaysville to produce its Small Business Seminars. For more information about Layton City’s Small Business Seminars, please contact Morgan Cloward at 801-336-3770, mcloward@laytoncity.org
