After many years of work on all sides, RC Willey held an intimate ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday in Layton City for its new store just off of the northeast side of the Antelope Drive and Interstate 15 interchange (make sure you stay to the east when turning). Due to the pandemic, the store opened its doors quietly on July 21, 2020, but had to make careful considerations for its ribbon cutting event. The new 171,816 square foot facility is the largest of their stores with some new features they are excited to present to their customers. Instead of using a loading dock where customers receive purchases typical with all other RC Willey stores, the Layton store features an at grade covered and heated loading area with equipment to raise and place items into their customer’s vehicles or trailers. The Layton store also boasts its own kitchen where its famously enjoyed hot dogs, typically catered, are cooked by the hundreds and soda is available to serve as well. The views from the second story are hard to beat as one can view a panorama of the Wasatch range and Great Salt Lake as they browse the office and outdoor furniture. The store layout will feel familiar but there are a few new design features they are proud to display. Please drop by and see your new RC Willey store in Layton.
