Layton City’s Community and Economic Development department is pleased to announce its next upcoming Small Business Seminar entitled: “Successful Habits That Will Grow Your Business.” Slated for June 30 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, the class will be presented by Katie McGiven, a local health and wellness professional.
McGiven, a graduate of Brigham Young University, has been a registered nurse for 20 years, and has worked in a hospital setting for about 10 years. For the past eight years, McGiven has replaced her part-time nursing income as an entrepreneur with the emphasis of her business centered on preventative health and weight loss. Becoming an entrepreneur was a good career choice as she determined working from home was a better fit for her family.
McGiven coaches others by focusing on improving daily habits that drastically improve health and overall happiness. She is married, and is currently raising four children and two labradoodles.
The free one-hour class will be held at the offices of Valentine CPA, 944 E Gordon Avenue in Layton. A complimentary lunch will be provided by First Community Bank of Layton. Layton City’s Small Business seminars are presented in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Kaysville.
