Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and its Talent Ready Utah Team, in partnership with Utah System of Higher Education, has launched the Learn and Work in Utah education initiative. This is a state-wide program that provides tuition assistance for short-term programs at post-secondary institutions for job-seekers who are either currently unemployed or looking to advance in their career.
Learn and Work in Utah prepares students for higher-paying and more stable, high-impact careers. The program also conveniently matches participants with companies looking for much-needed skills and expertise. Local education partners include Davis Technical College, Ogden-Weber Technical College, Weber State University, the University of Utah, and Salt Lake Community College.
Some of the programs available for enrollment include: Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Healthcare, Community and Education, Skilled Craftsmen, Transportation Maintenance and CDL, Technology, Business Management, and Law Enforcement.
