Learn how to Captivate Customers with Google at Layton City’s Small Business Seminar

“How to Captivate Customers with Google Search and Google Maps” is the topic of Layton City’s upcoming Free Small Business Seminar, set for August 16, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The City’s Community and Economic Development department continues its popular education series featuring subject matter expert Lorin Jeppsen, Davis Tech Small Business Development Center Consultant.

Showing up when customers are searching online is more important than ever. Business leaders can ensure customers find accurate, updated information about their business on Google Search and Google Maps, no matter what device used. Seminar attendees will learn how to create and manage a Google Business Profile from start to finish, create and claim a Google Business Profile, use their new profile to connect with potential customers, and manage business information across the Google platform.

Jeppsen has owned his own businesses and currently coaches business executives on emotionally intelligent leadership, and works as a personal trainer. He spent seven years in the military flying the B-52 bomber and is currently an officer in the Air National Guard.

Layton City’s Small Business seminars offer the opportunity for local business leaders to spend a lunchbreak learning how to make their organizations more successful. The class will be held at the Layton City Center Building Employee Training Room, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah 84041.

Past classes have provided helpful training on a wide array of small business-related topics by local business owners and experts. Past popular classes have included: employee recruitment and retention, social media marketing, business accounting, and business networking.

The event is sponsored by First Community Bank and Layton City. First Community Bank has generously agreed to provide attendees with a free lunch. For more information, contact Morgan Cloward 801-336-3770, mcloward@laytoncity.org.
